PHOTOS: New Wellness Center Progresses at Our Lady of the Hamptons
Gymnasium expected to be complete in August.
The new gymnasium at is anticipated to be completed by early August, with new classrooms to follow soon after, Principal Sister Kathy Schlueter reports.
The new additions, comprising the Southampton Village Catholic school's new wellness center, also includes a suspended running track.
Joseph "Rocky" Ambrose, the Diocese of Rockville Center's on-site representative for the project, said the school is $275,000 away from reaching the total needed, $3.7 million.

Ambrose, a North Sea fire chief who works in the building trade, said he visits the site every day, "usually twice a day." He has helped Sister Kathy and Our Lady of the Hamptons over the years, so he was asked to take up the job of on-site rep, he explained.
He reports there have been no surprises. "Everybody seems to be doing a very good job."
