Last Chance: 'Taste of Tuckahoe' Friday Night

Restaurants and vineyards showcase their food and wine Friday at benefit for the Tuckahoe School.

UPDATE April 27 12:13 p.m.: Because of the overwhelming response to the event, tickets at the door will be just $25 — instead of the original door price of $30.

 

"Iron Chef America" judge Karine Bakhoum returns to on Friday to emcee , a benefit where local chefs, bakers, winemakers and brewers showcase their best to satisfy locavores.

Guests can sample food and drinks from the Southampton and Tuckahoe area, and a little further afield. Admission is $30 at the door and proceeds benefit the PTO — but tickets can be ordered in advance for $25. Call 631-377-3900 before Friday for the reduced price.

"Taste of Tuckahoe is a unique opportunity for us to come together — support each other, support the Tuckahoe PTO and to build the economic viability of our community," said Tuckahoe PTO member Claudia LaMere. "Many local restaurants, retail store owners and service providers are parents of kids at Tuckahoe School — or simply members of our community. This event is an invitation for an evening of celebration and a platform to meet our neighbors, rub elbows and build relationships through local business."

Taste of Tuckahoe takes place between 6 and 10 p.m. on April 27 and, in addition to food and beverages, includes music and dancing.
