The Southampton Lady Mariners defeated the Nassau County title-holders Thursday night, becoming the Long Island champions two years in a row.
The Class B match took place at Hofstra University in Hempstead.
A caravan of Southampton Fire Department vehicles met the girls' bus Thursday evening to bring them into Southampton Village.
"The fire department greeted the girls and escorted them into the village to show the support the community has for the team," said Second Assistant Chief Chris Brenner.
