The greenhouse at the school has been a long process, but the opening of it has finally come, along with spring. The children’s librarian at will read about planting and growing food at noon. Alfredo Merat and the Bridgehampton Marimba Band will perform, and there will be face paintings, and planting. Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele Jr. and Southampton Town Councilwoman Bridget Fleming will speak, as well as Brian Halweil of the Edible East End, who will be the keynote speaker. The ceremony is slated to go until 3 p.m.
