Our Lady of the Hamptons Catholic Regional School will be recognized at 11 a.m., for winning the "Plastic Bag Challenge" by the Town of Southampton, Trex Company, and Plastic Bag Education Task Force.
The recycling competition took place during the month of April, with Our Lady of the Hamptons, Remsenburg-Speonk Elementary, East Quoge Elementary, Hampton Bays Middle School, Southampton Montessori School, Westhampton Beach Middle School, and The Ross Lower School having participated. All of the school's collections combined, amounted to over 33,000 bags of recyclable items.
