Painter, sculptor-turned-gardener Leslie Rose Close will speak on the history of garden photography. She earned her Master's Degree from NYU, and wrote her thesis on the landscape architectural photographer, Mattie Edwards Hewitt. Close started a program in American landscape history at Wave Hill, and co-founded the Catalog of Landscape Records in the United States, a database now housed at the New York Botanical Garden. Close lives in Bridgehampton where she tends a large food garden.
