Director, Producer, Writer and Actor Chris Weitz Speaks at Avram

Chris Weitz, who co-directed American Pie and About A Boy along with his brother Paul Weitz and the director of The Golden Compass and The Twilight Saga: New Moon among other films, will speak with at Stony Brook Southampton Writers Conference director Annette Handley-Chandler. He'll show clips from his 

"Weitz, the honored guest for this year’s Pakula Prize evening, is the son of the late fashion designerand novelist John Weitz and actress and Sag Harbor resident Susan Kohner," according to the college's press release.

The Pakula Prize was namedvfor the late director Alan Pakula. It is a scholarship offered to two students enrolled in the Screenwriting Conference between July 6-10.
