Bridgehampton Basketball Team Honored [Photo of the Day]
Killer Bees recognized for winning Suffolk County Class-D Championship.
At the Suffolk County Legislature general meeting on April 24 at the Riverhead County Center, Legislator Jay Schneiderman honored the boys varsity basketball team. The Killer Bees claimed the title of Class D County Champions for the first time since 2000. The Killer Bees' victory for the County Class-D Championship was the team’s best basketball game of the year, overpowering the Greenport Porters 73-50. “The coaching and the strategic perception of the players, together with the camaraderie and skill of each team member is to be commended,” Schneiderman said.
