Blizzard's Aftermath Closes Three Village Schools on Tuesday; Make-Up Day Set for March 25

School will be out once again as the region deals with the aftermath of the blizzard.

As residents continue to lament the lack of snow plowing on many streets in town, school officials announced late Monday afternoon that Three Village public schools will close on Tuesday.

All activities are canceled as well, according to a note published on the district's website.

"The schools are OK, it's the side roads that are still awful," Jeff Carlson, assistant superintendent for business services, said in an email to Patch. He said the make-up day for the second snow day will be March 25.

Additionally, the Board of Education meeting originally set for Feb. 12 has been postponed until Feb. 26.

Stay tuned to Patch for more updates as they become available.

Not surprised, Cuomo takes everything he can from LI and disperses everywhere but back to LI. Remember in Albany's eyes, LI is wealthy and can take care of the rest of NY and now CT. He is a disgrace and refuses to make it right for LI and our families.

I understand that this was a major storm, but come on. There hasn't been one town plow around. The street I live on was done with a little jeep with a plow. It's a mess. I've lived thru some big storms and I've never seen it this bad. Now the students of 3VCSD are being punished because of the fools running "CROOKHAVEN"

Our neighborhood came together to plow/shovel out our street. Guess we get to keep out tax $.
