The Southampton Town Board has given Town Attorney Tiffany Scarlato the go-ahead to file temporary restraining orders against a number of landlords and homeowners whose houses were allegedly rented to teens for after-prom parties recently, Newsday reports.
According to the Town Board resolution, which was adopted unanimously June 26, the homes are located on Brick Kiln Road and Noyac Road in Noyac; Jeffrey Lane and Laura Court in East Quogue; Parrish Pond Lane and Montauk Highway in Shinnecock Hills; and Water Mill Towd Road in Water Mill.
Newsday reports that one homeowner said he had no idea his home was being used for parties, after he agreed to rent the house out for a month.
