Temporary Workers Needed for Sandy Cleanup
Suffolk County looking for Southampton Town residents to take up the task.
Workers are needed across Suffolk to clean up after Superstorm Sandy — and the county is offering $15 an hour.
The jobs are temporary, and currently unemployed residents will be given hiring preference.
Though weeks have passed since the storm hit, there are still many devastated areas that need cleaning up, as debris from destroyed and flooded homes, businesses and public facilities is still lining many streets. Topples trees and fallen branches still need to be removed.
