Southampton, Sagaponack Races Uncontested

Villages elections are June 15.

Election petitions were due May 11 in the villages of and , and in both municipalities there will be no contest.

In Southampton Village, Trustee Richard Yastrzemski is seeking re-election and Planning Board Chairman Michael Irving has as well.

The field is clear for Irving, as Trustee Bonnie Cannon has .

Yastrzemski and Cannon belong to the Citizens With Integrity Party, which holds four of five seats on the board — but will only hold three when Cannon's term is up. Irving is with the Patriot Party, which when he sought to rejoin the board for the first time after an 18-year absense.

Mayor Mark Epley said the Citizens With Integrity Party is also backing Irving.

In Sagaponack Village, the three incumbents are unopposed. Mayor Donald Louchheim and Trustees Lee Foster and Lisa Duryea are all seeking new two-year terms.

Both elections are scheduled for June 15.
