Sag Harbor Re-Elects Gilbride, Brings Back Deyermond

Mayor will serve a third term; Ed Deyermond and Ken O'Donnell elected to village board.

In a heated, heavily contested election for Sag Harbor Village mayor, the incumbent, Brian Gilbride, was re-elected on Tuesday night, according to The Sag Harbor Express.

Gilbride received 179 votes, a slight edge over Sandra Schroeder, a former village clerk who received 168. Bruce Tait, who sits on the Harbor Committee, and Pierce Hance, who previously served as mayor, also ran for the position.

Ed Deyermond is heading back to the village board. The former mayor who also served as a village trustee received the most votes — 363, The Express reported. Deyermond previously served as North Haven village clerk and Southampton Town assessor. Ken O'Donnell, who owns La Superica in the village, was elected to the board for the first time.
