Rogers Library Seeks Trustee Candidates

Two seats available on nine-member board.

The is accepting nominating petitions for two seats on its nine-member board of trustees that are up for a vote on August 19.

Trustee James Kennedy hit his two-term limit and is ineligible to run again, but Trustee Richard Petrow is completing his first four-year term and may seek re-election. The new term will begin in January and end December 2015. Candidates must be residents of either the Southampton or Tuckahoe school districts and must be registered or qualified voters of either school district.

Candidate information packets will be available at the library’s administration office starting June 6 and petitions must be completed and submitted to the candidate's school district office no later than July 20 at 5 p.m.

For additional information regarding qualifications, requirements and the process of running for library trustee, contact the library’s administration office at 631-283-0774 ext. 500 or 501, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The August 19 election, which also includes a budget vote, will take place at the library.
