Politico: Romney Returning to the Hamptons Friday

GOP presidential contender to attend fundraisers.

Mitt Romney has two fundraisers for his presidential campaign lined up Friday in the Hamptons, according to Politico's Maggie Haberman.

One fundraiser will be at the home of John Griffin, hedge fund manager for Blue Ridge Capital, while the second location is not clear, Politico reports.

The leadup to these planned fundraisers has been fairly quiet, compared to Romney's last visit to the area.

Romney had three fundraisers in the Hamptons on July 7, including a $50,000-per-person event at the oceanfront Southampton Village estate of David Koch. Police set up to keep demonstrators, who came out ," far away from the estate.

Earlier that day, two boaters on Georgica Pond were after police say they came too close to Ronald Perelman's 57-acre East Hampton Village estate, where Romney was attending his first fundraiser of the day. The third event was at former Ambassador Cliff Sobel's Meadow Lane estate.

is slated to attend a fundraiser in Bridgehampton on Aug. 24, hosted by Nathan Lane, for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, of New York, Sen. Frank Lautenberg, of New Jersey, and Rep. Tim Bishop, of Southampton, will also be in attendance at the fundraiser, at the home of Ellen Chesler and Matthew Mallow. James Taylor will provide musical entertainment, according to the invitation.
