Municipal codes are voluminous records of rules and regulations passed by town and village board members over the years.

But what exactly are in our local codes?

Much of them pertain to land use — zoning regulations, development capacities, etc. Other parts regulate activities on preserved land in town, other parts on certain industries within Southampton, and of course part of it outlines responsibilities of certain town government capacities.
