Bay Street Hosts Debate Viewing Party Tuesday

Public is invited to Sag Harbor for a free big-screen viewing of the second Obama-Romney presidential debate.

Watch the second of three presidential debates on a big projector screen Tuesday night in Sag Harbor, for free.

Bay Street Theatre hosts the free debate viewing party, just as it did for the first presidential debate and last week's vice presidential debate. It will do the same for the Oct. 22 debate and also open its doors on the night of the election, Nov. 6, to watch the results pour in. Admission is always free.

The theater did the same in 2008 for the third debate between Barack Obama and John McCain, attracting a crowd that cheered and jeered as the candidates clashed. Now it is time for an Obama-Romney head-to-head. Obama and Romney will faceoff Tuesday at Hofstra University in Hempstead in a town hall format.

The League of Women Voters of the Hamptons will be in the Bay Street lobby with voter information during the debate.

The final debate, Oct. 22 at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, will focus on foreign policy.

The debates all run from 9 to 10:30 p.m. Bay Street's doors open at 8 p.m. during each debate night, and on election night as well.

All events are free, but Bay Street Theatre notes that donations are welcome.
