'Adult Day Care' Has Openings

Program provides supervision and stimulation for infirm seniors.

For the frail, elderly and those suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia, Southampton Town offers an adult day care program at the Hampton Bays Senior Center, and the town wants residents to know this week that there are spots available.

The program provides "supervision, companionship, and mental and physical stimulation," according to a town statement. "We also provide caregivers with support through information, referrals, and support group options."

The program takes place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a continental breakfast and hot lunch served daily. The fee is $30 per day, and transportation can be provided.
