Village Police Log: Teen Flees on Motorcycle, Crashes

Fleeing Police, Reckless Driving
• Jose Rodrigo Ramirez, 18, of Southampton, was arrested Nov. 8 at 11:41 a.m. and charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer in the third degree and reckless driving, both misdemeanors. Police attempted to stop Ramirez on Powell Avenue for a vehicle and traffic violation on a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle while, police said. Ramirez refused to stop and led officers on a brief chase, according to police. He was apprehended on Mariner Drive after becoming involved in a motor vehicle accident with no reported injuries, police said. He was also issued eight summonses.

Criminal Weapon Possession
• Terence S. Fuentes, 40, of Riverhead, was arrested Nov. 9 at 8:33 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, both misdemeanors. Police said Fuentes had a gravity knife and a quantity of cocaine, and an outstanding parole warrant.
