Village Police Log: Shoplifter Had Fake Social Security Card

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate convictions.

Southampton Village Police Department arrest reports for Feb. 14 through Feb. 20:

Forged Social Security Card

• Juan S. Flores-Aparicio, 21, of Southampton, was arrested Feb. 17 at 4:29 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a felony, and petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Police said they were called a complaint of a shoplifter at CVS, where Flores-Aparicio allegedly stole a bottle of Beverly Hills Polo Club Cologne. Police said he had a forged social security card on him. He was processed and released after posting $250 bail.

Drug Possession

• Karen A. Renz, 30, of Selden, was arrested Feb. 17 at 12:02 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, both misdemeanors. She was processed and released after posting $100 bail, police said.

• Christopher Warren Haring, 37, of Southampton, was arrested Feb. 15 at 10:11 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor.

ICE Warrant

• Edwin D. Guarquila, 27, of Patchogue, was released to Immigration & Custom Enforcement officials on an outstanding ICE warrant after he was arrested Feb. 16 at 3:52 p.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, a misdemeanor.
