Village Police Log: Man Ejected From Village Meeting Charged With Resisting Arrest

Also recently reported by Southampton Village police, multiple drunk driving arrests.

Resisting Arrest at a Village Meeting

Police said they were called to a Southampton Village Architectural Review Board meeting at Southampton Village Hall on July 24, where a person was being unruly, and made an arrest.

A 59-year-old Southampton man was told to leave, but refused "and continued to be disruptive and belligerent," according to police.

"After being taken into custody, he was transported to Stony Brook Hospital for a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation for the second time this month," police said.

He was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a violation.

Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated
 
• Christopher P. Gazzola, 36, of Malverne, was arrested July 28 at 2:51 a.m. and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor.  Police said they responded to North Sea Road where there was reportedly a possibly intoxicated driver.  Police aid that a short time later on officer stopped Gazzola, who was driving a 2010 Lincoln MKZ on North Main Street.  He was stopped for running a stop light and failing to maintain his lane of travel, according to police, who added that he also struck a curb as he was being stopped.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Juliette McPeak, 29, of Moriches, was arrested July 13 at 12:56 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor.  Police said they stopped McPeak for cutting off an oncoming patrol car on County Road 39 while driving a 2010 Honda Odyssey.

• Stephen W. Elrod, 55, of Southampton, was arrested  July 13 at 3:41 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor.  Police said they stopped Elrod on County Road 39 for multiple vehicle and traffic violations while driving a 2011 BMW eastbound.

• Attilio E. Brillembourg, age 42, of Manhattan, was arrested July 14 at 2:59 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor.  Police said they stopped Brillembourg  for exceeding the posted speed limit by 25 miles per hour while driving a 2006 Porsche 911  eastbound on Hampton Road.

• Katherine L. Lowbridge, 29, of Hampton Bays, was arrested July 27 at 2:28 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor.  Police said they stopped Lowbridge for multiple vehicle and traffic violations while driving a 2002 Hyundai Elantra westbound on Hill Street.

Petty Larceny

• A 64-year-old New City man was arrested July 11 at 12:40 p.m. and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor.
