Village Police Log: Man Caught With Stolen Power Tools

Also among recent arrests, a teen arrested after allegedly giving police false personal info.

Stolen Power Tools  

• Dominic A. Cruz, 36, of Hampton Bays, was arrested May 10 at 2:32 p.m. and charged with petty larceny and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, both misdemeanors.  Police said Cruz stole a Dewalt 20-volt impact driver kit, valued at $283.19, and a Dewalt 12-volt lithium screwdriver kit, valued at $144.59.  

Impersonation
 

• A 17-year-old girl from Riverhead was arrested May 4 at 1:39 a.m. and charged with false personation, a misdemeanor.  Police said the girl was charged after they were called to a disturbance at a Main Street bar and restaurant, where she gave officers incorrect personal information. After posting $200 stationhouse bail, she was released.
