Village Police Log: Felony Drug Charges for Woodbury Man

Also in the week's Southampton Village police blotter, a Southampton woman charged with drug possession and fleeing police.

Drug Arrests

• Tal A. Hadar, 28, of Woodbury, was arrested May 27 at 1:40 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, all felonies, and four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, all misdemeanors, as well as unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said that at his arraignment Hadar was remanded to the Suffolk County Jail in lieu of $35,100 bail.

• Theresa Sasala, 26, of Southampton, was arrested May 21 at 8:14 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, unlawful fleeing from a police officer, reckless driving and two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, all misdemeanors, as well as unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.  Police said they attempted to stop Sasala while she was driving a 2000 Pontiac on West Prospect Street for a vehicle and traffic violation, but she refused to stop and led police on a pursuit back to her home on Fords Lane, where she fled on foot. She was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit, police said. The vehicle was impounded and at arraignment Sasala was remanded to the Suffolk County Jail in lieu of $16,250 bail.

• Gianfranco Pepe, 28, of Franklin Square, was arrested May 27 at 1:40 a.m. and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, both misdemeanors. He was processed and held for arraignment. At arraignment, he was remanded to the Suffolk County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail, police said.

• Brian A. Huber, 29, of Elmont, was arrested May 27 at 1:40 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor. He was processed and held for arraignment.  At arraignment, he was released after posting $1,000 bail, police said.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Kacy M. Mask, 33, of Hampton Bays was arrested May 26 at 4:01 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Mask while she was driving a 2003 Hyundai Accent southbound on Somerset Ave for failing to stop at a stop sign.  Upon further investigation, Mask was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment.

• Lacey A. Tisch, 31, of Manhattan, was arrested May 28 at 12:29 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Tisch for driving a 2012 Land Rover eastbound on County Road 39 without any headlights and traveling on the shoulder of the roadway. Police said that when they attempted to stop her, she accelerated briefly before stopping the vehicle. She was arrested, processed and held for arraignment.

Fugitive

• Jose Antonio Ayala-Iraheta, 27, of Amityville, was arrested May 25 at 8:47 a.m. as a fugitive from justice, police said.  Police said they confirmed the warrant through Immigration & Customs Enforcement, then Ayala-Iraheta was turned over to ICE officials.
