Village Police Log: Drug, DWI Arrests

Two charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in separate incidents.

Arrest by Southampton Village police during the week of June 11 to June 17:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

• Jaclyn N. Ewing, 29, of Southampton, was arrested June 17 at 7:19 a.m. and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Samantha S. Kinney, 27, of Southampton, was arrested June 16 at 12:32 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Kinney for speeding in a 2004 Honda northbound on Elm Street. She was additionally cited for refusing to take an Intoxilyzer test, police said, and held overnight for arraignment.
