Southampton Village arrest reports for Aug. 28 through Sept. 3:
Driving Impaired by Drugs
• Joseph M. Heney, 37, of Shirley, was arrested Sept. 1 at 3 a.m. and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, all misdemeanors, and harassment in the second degree, a violation. Police said they stopped Heney for failing to maintain his lane of travel while he was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer eastbound on Hill Street. Heney became verbally and physically abusive and shoved an officer, police said. He was processed and held for morning arraignment.
• Frank Clemente, 48, of Staten Island, was arrested Sept. 1 at 11:23 p.m. and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Clemente for making an illegal U-turn while driving a 2011 BMW westbound on County Road 39. Upon further investigation, he was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment.
Leandra's Law
• Steven B. Elghanayan, 54, of New York City was arrested Sept. 1 at 10:27 p.m. and charged with DWI under Leandra’s Law, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Elghanayan for failing to stop at a stop sign and failing to signal for multiple turns while driving a 2011 Mercedes Benz on Elm Street. Elghanayan drove with a 13-year-old child in the vehicle while of intoxicated, according to police. He was processed and held for morning arraignment.
Driving While Intoxicated
• Dominica Y. Wambold, 19, of New York City was arrested Sept. 1 at 3:02 a.m. and charged with DWI, criminal impersonation in the second degree, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors. Police said they stopped Wambold while she drove a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound on Hill Street for crossing the double yellow lines multiple times and, upon turning onto First Neck Lane, driving off the pavement on to a grassy area and back onto roadway. Wambold identified herself to an officer as her older sister, police said. She also became very verbally and physically abusive to the officer as she was being placed under arrest, according to police. She was lodged in a cell overnight pending arraignment.
• Ronald J. Messe, 54, of Levittown, was arrested Sept. 1 a 11:55 p.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Messe for driving without headlights on in a 2002 Toyota on Bowden Square. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Meese’s registration was expired since February of 2008, according to police. He refused to take an Intoxilyzer breath test., police added. He was processed and held for morning arraignment.
• Margaret E. O’Connor, 33, of Fairfield, Conn., was arrested Sept. 2 at 1:12 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped O’Connor for an equipment violation while she was driving a 2004 Honda Accord westbound on Hampton Road. Upon further investigation, she was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment.
• Ivan Vucetic, 33, of Staten Island, was arrested Sept. 2 at 1:40 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Vucetic for failing to stop at a red light while driving a 2012 Lincoln MKZ northbound on North Sea Road. Upon further investigation, Vucetic was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment, police said, adding that he refused to take an Intoxilyzer breath test.
• Jacob Evan Henderson, 23, of New York City, was arrested Sept. 2 at 1:52 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Henderson for failing to stop at a a stop sign while operating a 2001 Audi A4 while traveling eastbound on Bowden Square . In addition, he exceeded the posted speed limit. Upon further investigation, he was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment. He refused to take the Intoxilyzer breath test.
• Janitse Martinez, 38, of Forest Hills, was arrested Sept. 2 at 2:22 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Martinez for speeding in a 2007 BMW eastbound on County Road 39. Upon further investigation, she was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
• Molly F. McBrien, 26, of Bronxville, was arrested Sept. 2 at 2:57 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped McBrien for failing to stop at a stop sign while driving a 2008 Lexus westbound on Railroad Plaza. Upon further investigation, she was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
• Rodrigo Alejandro Pozo-Graviz, 34, of Southampton, was arrested Sept. 2 at 3:34 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Pozo-Graviz for running a stop sign a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro while traveling westbound on Railroad Plaza for failing to stop at a stop sign. Upon further investigation, he was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment.
• Timoleon Panagopoulos, 37, of Dracut, Mass., was arrested Sept. 2 at 3:30 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Panagopoulos for an equipment violation whole driving a 2008 BMW 528 eastbound on Hampton Road. Upon further investigation, he was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment police said, adding that he refused to take the Intoxilyzer breath test.
