Village Police Log: 4 DWI Arrests; Bail Jumping

Southampton Village police charge three with driving while intoxicated on North Sea Road and one on Hill Street. Also in the blotter, an adult charged with facilitating underage drinking.

Southampton Village arrest reports for the week of June 19 through June 25:

Driving While Intoxicated

• Nicholas E. Lekanides, 22, of Middle Island, was arrested June 21 at 1:21 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said they stopped Lekanides for multiple vehicle and traffic violations while driving a 2001 Infiniti I-30 northbound on North Sea Road. Upon further investigation, he was arrested.  In addition, he was found to be in possession of marijuana, police said. He was processed and held for morning arraignment.

• Wes E. Robinson, 41, of Sag Harbor, was arrested June 21 at 3:06 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Robinson for multiple vehicle and traffic violations while he was driving a 2006 BMW northbound on North Sea Road. Upon further investigation, he was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment.

 • Sarah R. Osborn, 34, of Riverhead, was arrested June 23 at 3:58 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Osborn for not maintaining her lane of travel while driving a 2006 Mercury northbound on North Sea Road. Upon further investigation, she was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.

• Renata M. Black, 33, of Dallas, Texas, was arrested June 24 at 1:36 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Black for speeding in a 2012 Mercedes Benz westbound on Hill Street. Upon further investigation, she was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.

Suffolk County Social Host Law

• Michael A. Bernholc, 24, of Setauket, was arrested June 22 at 12:46 a.m. and charged under the Suffolk County Social Host Law for providing alcoholic beverages to persons under 21 years of age, according to police. Police said they were called to a noise complaint on Pulaski Street and found about a dozen youths under the age of 21 consuming alcohol. In addition, Bernholc was cited with a village code violation of noise pollution.

Bail Jumping

• Carlos Arenillas, 41, of New York City, was arrested June 22 at 9:28 p.m. on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear dating back to 2006, police said. In addition, he was charged with bail jumping in the third degree, a misdemeanor.
