Village Police Log: 3 Charged with DWI After Speeding

Also in the Southampton Village police logs, a Sag Harbor teen is charged with drug possession.

The following information was supplied by the . A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate convictions. Arrests reported between Feb. 21 and Feb. 27:

DWI

• Argelys Cruz, 30, of East Hampton, was arrested Feb. 22 at 12:09 a.m. and charged with felony DWI. Police said Cruz was pulled over after speeding eastbound on County Road 39 in a 2003 Mitsubishi and, upon further investigation, he was arrested and charged. He was processed and held for morning arraignment. His 2003 Mitsubishi was seized as per the Suffolk County Seizure Law, police said.

• Marco A. Ochoa, 19, of Southampton, was arrested Feb. 25 at 2:47 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Ochoa was pulled over after speeding westbound on Hampton Road in a 2009 Dodge Charger. Upon further investigation, he was arrested,  processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.

• Alexander R. Herzog, 22, of Hampton Bays, was arrested Feb. 26 at 2:51 a.m. was arrested and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor.  Police said Herzog was pulled over after speeding eastbound on Hill Street in a Ford Fusion and failing to stay in his lane. Upon further investigation, he was arrested, police said. He was processed and held for morning arraignment.

Drug Possession

• Elly S. Vonwehren, 19, of Sag Harbor, was arrested Feb. 24 at 4:39 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor. She was processed and released after posting $100 bail, police said.
