Village Police Log: 3 Charged With Criminal Drug Possession

• Nicholas J. Nickas, 28, of Hampton Bays, was arrested June 14 at 12:53 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.  He was processed and released after posting $100 bail, police said.
 
• Ricardo A. Salmeron, 26, of East Hampton, was arrested June 14 at 12:53 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor. He was processed and released after posting $100, police said.

• David A. Foley, 26, of Southampton was arrested June 14 at 9:42 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was processed and released after posting $110 bail, police said.
 
Driving While Intoxicated

• Alexandre Elghanayan, 26, of New York City, was arrested June 17 at 2:01 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident on Elm Street, where Elghanayan backed into a parked vehicle. Upon further investigation, Elghanayan was arrested, police said.

• James K. McPartland, 30, of Chicago, Ill. was arrested June 15 at 4:40 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped McPartland for littering while he was driving a 2008 Land Rover on North Sea Road.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with DWI, police said.

Counterfeit Inspection Sticker

• Joseph J. Collins, 44, of Selden, was arrested June 18 at 5:05 p.m. and charged with possessing an imitation/counterfeit vehicle inspection sticker, a misdemeanor, police said.
