Village Police Log: Woman Pulled Over With Open Bottle of Whiskey, Pills

Also among the week's arrests in Southampton Village, a Water Mill woman charged with aggravated DWI.

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate convictions.

• Derry M. Taylor, 60, of Mastic, was arrested Sept. 28 at 6:05 p.m., and charged with felony DWI, due to having two prior DWI convictions, according to police. She was additionally charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, both misdemeanors.  Police said they stopped Taylor for driving a 2003 Ford Focus in an unsafe manner on North Sea Road. Taylor was found with multiple prescriptions and an open bottle of whiskey, according to police. Her vehicle was impounded and she was processed and held for morning arraignment. She posted $2,700 bail and was released, police said.

• Noreen M. Conway, 41, of Water Mill, was arrested Sept. 30 at 3:44 a.m. and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped  Conway for speeding in a 2004 Lexus westbound on Rail Road Plaza. Upon further investigation, she was arrested and held for morning arraignment, police said.
