Two Die in Fiery Crash in Sag Harbor
Mustang burst into flames after hitting a tree, police said.
A driver and passenger died in a single-car accident in Sag Harbor on Saturday afternoon, according to .
Police said a 2006 Ford Mustang was driving west on Brick Kiln Road when it went off the road, striking a tree and bursting into flames. The two occupants of the Mustang were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The crash occurred between Highview Drive and Woodvale Street. Police responded at 3:34 p.m. extinguished the fire and closed the road and also responded. The victims, whose names are being withheld pending positive identification and family notification, were transported to the Suffolk County medical examiner's office, police said.
