Town Police Log: Crack Found in Sag Harbor Man's Car

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

David Ramunno, 50, of Sag Harbor, was arrested Dec. 4 at 12:43 a.m. at the corner of Upper Seven Ponds Road and Lower Sevens Pond Road in Water Mill and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Ramunno was stopped for driving out of lane when police saw crack cocaine on the center console of the car and a crack pipe on the vehicle’s floor, according to the arrest report.

Grand Larceny

A 74-year-old man from Elmont told police that sometime between the beginning of October and Dec. 3 someone stole more than $2,000 in designer clothing, including a Valentino suit, from the Southampton home of his deceased friend. The Elmont man is watching the Montauk Highway home while it is for sale, according to the incident report. Police are investigating.

Burglary

A 55-year-old man from Southampton told police that sometime between 11 a.m. Nov. 30 and 11 a.m. Dec. 1 someone stole a $950 Mac computer from the audio/visual room of a home he’s helping build on Ocean Road in Bridgehampton. Officers will use fingerprints left near where the computer was installed in the investigation, according to the incident report.
