Town Police Log: New Jersey Man Groped Woman in North Sea

Criminal Mischief
Samantha Press, 21, of North Sea was arrested Friday at 1:37 a.m. at her home on Waters Edge Road in North Sea and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. Police said Press had an argument with her mother, and broke her laptop by stabbing it with a knife.

DWI
William Byrd-Lewis, 23, of Southampton was arrested Saturday at 4:44 a.m. at the corner of Magee Stree and Leecon Court in Southampton and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Byrd-Lewis was stopped in the middle of the roadway without having his hazards flashing when they discovered he appeared intoxicated.

Julie Ramos, 38, of Manhattan was arrested Sunday at 7:37 p.m. on Snake Hollow Road in Bridgehampton and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Ramos hit a fence while she was driving and tried to leave the scene when police saw that she appeared intoxicated.
Driving While Ability Impaired
Adrian Golaszewski, 19, of Lindenhurst was arrested Saturday at 12:56 a.m. on County Road 39 in Southampton and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said Golaszewski was stopped for a broken brake light when police smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Golaszewski was discovered to be under the influence of the drug, police said.
Robert DeLuca, 52, of Southampton was arrested Monday at 10:24 a.m. on the corner of Shrubland Road and County Road 39 in Southampton and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said DeLuca was pulled over for ignoring a stop sign.
Burglary
The housekeeper for a 61-year-old woman from Manhattan told police that sometime between Aug. 28 and Aug. 29 someone stole two flat screen televisions and a watch from a home she maintains on Flying Point Road in Southampton. Police are investigating.
