Town Police Log: Man Charged with Felony After Presenting Forged IDs

Ramon Rodriguez, 19, of Riverhead, was arrested Monday at around 11:10 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a felony; false personation, a misdemeanor; and several traffic violations. Police said Rodriguez was pulled over on Montauk Highway in Water Mill for talking on a cell phone while driving. When asked for his license, he presented two forms of ID with a name other than his own and he continued to insist that was his name, police said. He was subsequently identified and charged. He was transported to police headquarters in Hampton Bays, processed and held for arraignment.
