Town Police Log: Four Charged with DWI, Two with Assault

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. It does not indicate guilt.

arrest reports for June 13 through June 20:

DWI

Dennis Metzler, 46, of Southampton was arrested Sunday at 2:05 a.m. on Millstone Brook Road in North Sea and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police pulled Metzler over for a traffic infraction, according to the arrest report.

Kadeem Fisher, 19, of New York City was arrested Sunday at 3:20 a.m. on County Road 39 in Southampton and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they pulled Fisher over for changing lanes without signaling.

Jose Lopez, 19, of Brooklyn was arrested Sunday at 4:35 a.m. on Country Road 39 in Southampton and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they pulled Lopez over for driving out of lane.

Lisa Alnwick, 28, of Water Mill was arrested Thursday at 6:50 a.m. on the corner of Bridge Lane and Highland Terrace in Bridgehampton and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Alnwick crashed into a tree, suffering injuries on her face from the deployed airbag.  

Criminal Tampering

Michael Herzog, 25, of Southampton was arrested Tuesday at 8:02 p.m. on Rampasture Road in Hampton Bays and charged with third-degree criminal tampering, a misdemeanor. Police said Herzog put a boot on his tenant’s car, causing the tenant to lose a day of work. Police said Herzog told them the tenant had not paid rent for several months.

Assault

Daniel Rummery, 30, of New York was arrested Sunday at 3:58 a.m. on Whites Lane in Southampton and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Police said Rummery and friends were drinking at a house when, out of nowhere, Rummery head-butted his friend, causing a cut on the friend’s forehead.

Anthony Borgese, 20, of Sag Harbor was arrested Friday at 3:45 p.m. at in Southampton Village and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Police said that, at a home in Water Mill, Borgese hit a woman many times. 

Criminal Contempt

Srinanda De, 71, of East Haddam, Conn. was arrested June 13 at 4:48 p.m. and June 7 at 9:18 p.m. on Lumber Lane in Bridgehampton and charged on both occasions with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. De violated an order of protection by taking pictures of her tenant, sending a letter to the tenant via a third party and taping letters to the tenant’s car, according to the arrest report.

Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs

Kevin Street, 46, of Bridgehampton was  at 12:03 a.m. on Sag Harbor-Bridgehampton Turnpike in Bridgehampton and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired by drugs and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors. Police said when they stopped Street for a traffic violation, he jumped out of the car enraged and ran away. Police caught and arrested him and found that he had cocaine and marijuana, according to the arrest report.
