Town Police Log: Man Steps Out of Vehicle to Fight Passenger, Busted for DWI

Also among the week's arrests in eastern Southampton Town, a Southampton man charged with violating a stay-away order.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Matthew C. Rojano, 23, of Bridgehampton, was arrested Jan. 31 at 12:51 a.m. on Long Beach Road in Noyac and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a violation. Police said Rojano was driving a 2007 Chevy Malibu when he stopped in the eastbound lane of Long Beach road to get out of the vehicle and fight his passenger. The arresting officer stopped Rojano and found he was intoxicated, according to the arrest report.

Criminal Contempt

• Christian J. Dilalla, 42, of Southampton, was arrested Jan. 29 at 7:11 p.m. in North Sea and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor. Police said Dilalla violated a stay-away order of protection issued by Southampton Town Justice Court when he contacted by cellphone and then drove up to a woman he is in an ongoing legal dispute with.
