Town Police Log: Sex Offender Charged with Failure to Register

Also in the police files this week, multiple DWI arrests and a criminal marijuana possession arrest.

Cops: Sex Offender Failed to Report Address

• James Reid, 31, of Southampton, a registered sex offender, was arrested on April 5 at 5:04 p.m., according to police. He was charged with failure to report his address to authorities under Megan's Law, a felony, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the second degree, a misdemeanor, and driving an unregistered vehicle, a violation, police said.

• Joseph Toto, 60, of East Hampton, was arrested April 4 on Noyac Road in Noyac at 11:47 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree, a class-A misdemeanor, according to police. Police said they stopped Toto's vehicle for insufficient lights and found a quantity of marijuana in the car.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Jerome Lucani, 37, of Southampton, was arrested  April 7 at 2:12 a.m. on Noyac Road in Noyac and charged with DWI, according to police. Cops said Lucani was driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of at least .08 percent, a misdemeanor. He was also charged with unsafely moving from a traffic lane, a violation.

• Leslie Slavens, 44, of Sag Harbor, was arrested on Brick Kiln Road in Noyac April 4 at 11:22 p.m. and charged with DWI with blood alcohol content of at least .08 percent, a misdemeanor, according to police. Police said Slavens failed field sobriety tests and was held overnight for arraignment.

• Kyrell Stoute, 22, of Coram, was arrested March 8 on the corner of County Road 39 near Peconic Road in Southampton at 4:47 a.m. He was charged with DWI with a blood alcohol content of at least .08 percent, a misdemeanor, and placed under arrest, police said. Additionally, Stoute was cited for speeding, a violation.

• Coerte Felske, 51, of Quogue, was arrested April 7 at 2:59 a.m. on Noyac Road in North Sea and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and unsafely moving from a traffic lane, a violation, police said. Felske was additionally charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree, a misdemeanor.

• John Hough, 43, of Darien, Conn., was arrested April 7 at 11:58 p.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, according to police. Hough was stopped on Noyac Road in Noyac after, cops said, he nearly collided with a police car head-on. Hough was also cited for failure to maintain his lane of traffic, a violation.
