Two vehicles involved in a crash on Sunrise Highway in Shinnecock Hills near the Hampton Bays border have pulled off the road, but traffic has still slowed due to rubbernecking.
A red Jeep and a silver GMC Jimmy, the latter of which sustained front-end damage, were headed westbound. They moved onto the grass median near the Peconic Road overpass, and police and a tow truck are on scene.
While both lanes were open, as of 4:45 p.m., that could change as tow trucks need to maneuver to remove the vehicles.
