Staten Island Man Charged with Felony in Southampton Village

Also: Woman arrested after allegedly shoplifting.

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• Eriks Rinkis, 49, of Staten Island, was arrested and charged with grand larceny in the third-degree larceny, a felony, and issuing a bad check, a misdemeanor, in Southampton Village on Dec. 3 at 9:53 p.m. He was arraigned and
released after posting $500 bail. No further information was provided.

• A 45-year-old Quogue woman was arrested after allegedly stealing $368 in items from the Flying Point Surf Shop on Main Street in Southampton Village on Dec. 9. She was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor, at 7:19 p.m. She was released with an appearance ticket.
