Town Police Log: Man Nearly Backs Into Cop Car, Charged With DWI

Also: Manhattan woman charged after impersonating mother, police say.

• Carl Ligon, 35, of Southampton, was arrested on March 9 and charged with DWI, as well as aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, both misdemeanors. Police said he was driving southbound on Old Quogue Road when he stopped, backed up unsafely and almost crashed into a marked police car. According to the arrest report, Ligon's breath smelled of an alcoholic beverage, his eyes were glossy and red, his speech was slurred and he failed roadside  sobriety tests.

Grand Larceny

• Allison Greene, 48, of New York City, was arrested on March 8 on felony counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree forgery and second-degree identity theft. According to an arrest report, Greene posed as her mother, using her banking information when signing in for a room at the Enclave Inn on Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton.
