Town Police Log: 2 New Year's DWI Arrests Made

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

DWI

• A Sag Harbor resident was arrested on New Year's Eve and charged with DWI on Flanders Road. According to police, Judy Clempner, 57, was found unresponsive behind the wheel of a 2002 gray Honda in a no standing zone. Police said she had an open bottle of white wine in the car.

• Mesias Martinez, 55 of Southampton was . According to police, Martinez was stopped on Narrow Lane in Bridgehampton for speeding. Upon investigation, police found Martinez to be intoxicated.  He was charged with DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, both misdemeanors; aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, a felony; and failure to pay a fine and speeding.
