Southampton Police Log: Man Caught with Ziplocks Filled with Cocaine

Also this week, man nabbed for DWI after car crash.

Arrests by Southampton Town police east of the Shinnecock Canal during the week of June 10 to June 17:

Driving While Intoxicated

• Police charged Anton Borkes, 49, of Flanders, with DWI, a misdemeanor, after they pulled him over on June 15 on Montauk Highway in Southampton for failing to maintain his lane, according to an arrest report. Police said he was also driving without a license.

• Emil Rensing, 39, of New York, was charged with misdemeanor DWI, on June 16, after he was involved in a car accident on Deerfield Road in Water Mill.

• Bobby Gayle, 42, of Amagansett, was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, after police pulled her over June 12 in Sagaponack for passing over a double yellow line, according to an arrest report.

• Earnest Cirruzzo, 29, of Water Mill was charged with two felony and one misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was pulled over on Lighthouse Road in Hampton Bays on June 16 for having no plate lamp, according to an arrest report. Police said they found several Ziplock bags in his pocket and in his rear passenger seat that were filled with cocaine. Police said Cirruzzo did not have a driver’s license and also had a suspended registration.

• Gabriele Narvaez, 23, of Southampton, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor. Police said Narvaez was in the rear seat of a car they pulled over on Lighthouse Road in Hampton Bays on June 16. Police said they found cocaine in Narvaez’s cellphone case.
