Southampton Police Log: DWI and Shoplifting Arrests

Southampton Town Police reports through Dec. 17.

DWI

Joseph Iacone, 53, of Brooklyn, was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, on Dec. 15 after police pulled him over on Majors Path in Southampton for multiple traffic violations. Upon pulling Iacone over, police said there was a smell of alcohol. Iacone was also driving with a suspended license, a misdemeanore.

Drugs 

A 18-year-old Sag Harbor man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Dec. 14 after police pulled him over on Main Street in Sagaponack. Police say they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from his car.

Petit Larceny

A 30-year old East Hampton woman was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, on Dec. 5 after cops were to the King Kullen in Bridgehampton. Police said the woman, Maria Cruz Encalada, took various meats, cleaning supplies and diapers.

Charged at the same time for reportedly taking food items was Rosa Gutama, 26, and Luz Dominguez, 41, both of East Hampton, who police said took $117 worth of meat and soaps.
