Town police incident reports logged between Jan. 9 and Jan. 15.

A weekly round-up of reported crimes and suspicious incidents from the :

Harassment

• A referee of a Bridgehampton versus Southold high school basketball game on Jan. 10 told police that a parent came on the court and screamed at the Southold coaches. The referee said he called the Bridgehampton High School athletic director and had the parent removed from the school, according to the incident report. The report further states that the parent yelled at the referee while he was being removed and said he would wait in the parking lot and that the referee “was going to get it.” The parent did wait until after the game, and yelled at the referee more, making a threatening statement about “next time,” according to the report. The referee did not wish to pursue charges at this time.

Identity Theft

• A Hampton Bays man reported to police on Jan. 13 that sometime around the day before someone deducted $999.01 and $1 from his Chase bank checking account in Hampton Bays. The man told police that the Chase fraud department contacted him the day before to verify the account and said they would conduct an investigation. The man said this is not the first time his account has been hacked, and Chase will be refunding his account.

• An Eastport man reported to police on Jan. 8 that sometime between Dec. 29 and Jan. 3, someone used his debit card information to make online purchases, totaling about $500.

• A Southampton doctor told police on Jan. 10 that a former patient had used his name and account number to order drugs from a supplier in California.

• A Hampton Bays man told police on Jan. 12 that he learned that on Nov. 29 someone opened an account in his name at Target in the Bronx for $700, and attempted to open an account on Dec. 1 at a TJ Maxx. The man told police that similar events happened to him and his wife in the past, after they refinanced their home.

Burglary

• A Flanders man told police on Jan. 14 that someone had kicked in the front door of his Pleasure Drive house and put holes in the drywall of his bathroom. No items were reported missing. The home was also reportedly broken into on Nov. 22.

• A Speonk woman told police on Jan. 10 that on Dec. 10 someone stole a $2,150 gold and diamond necklace and three gold rings worth a total of $2,800 from a jewelry box and necklace rack in her bedroom closet.

• A Rockville Center man reported to police on Jan. 12 that sometime between Dec. 20 and Jan. 11, someone broke the front door window glass of his Westhampton home, entered the house, and stole a cup of change.

• A Quiogue woman told police on Jan. 11 that sometime while she was away in Guatemala someone pried open the door of her Peters Lane home and stole a purse, $225 ring, credit cards and state-issued ID.

Larceny

• A Flanders man told police on Jan. 14 that sometime the night before his mailbox was stolen from his Golden Leaf Trail home. The man said this is the second incident in a month involving his mailbox, according to the incident report.

• A Flanders man reported Jan. 14 that sometime overnight someone stole a Lenooo laptop out of the back of his pickup truck, which was parked in his Wood Road Trail driveway.

• A Southampton man told police on Jan. 11 that someone had stolen a $400 extension ladder from the backyard of his Greenfield Road home.

• A Hampton Bays man reported Jan. 9 that someone graffitied his fence at his Terrace Drive home.

Leaving the Scene of an Accident

• A Moriches woman reported Jan. 13 that someone pulled out of a parking stall on West Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays and hit her bumper, then fled the scene without stopping.
