Sag Harbor Police Log: Valley Stream Man Drove High, Had Expired Pill Bottles

The following information was supplied by the Sag Harbor Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate convictions.

arrest for the week of Feb. 7 through Feb. 13:

Driving While Impaired by Drugs, Pill Possession

• Joel I. Kaye, 55, of Valley Stream, was arrested Feb. 13 at 8:23 p.m. and charged with driving while impaired by drugs, reckless driving and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, all misdemeanors. Police said Kaye ran a stop sign while driving a 2011 Ford Fusion through the Main Street and Madison Street intersection, then failed to stay to the right. Kaye failed several sobriety tests and had two oxycodone pills, three diazepam pills, nine acetaminophen pills, nine roxicet pills, nine carisoprodal pills, three sumatriptan pills, three morphine pills and 18 nitroglycerin pills in four expired prescription bottles.

Bad Check

• Zina Glazebrook, 60, of Shelter Island, was arrested Feb. 7 at 11:30 a.m. at her home and charged with issuing a bad check, a misdemeanor. She was transported to Sag Harbor police headquarters and arraigned at Sag Harbor Village Justice Court.
