Sag Harbor Police Log: Stranger on Couch Charged With Trespass

Sag Harbor Village arrest for the week ending June 3:

Criminal Trespass

• Rossa W. Cole, 44, of Sag Harbor, was arrested May 31 at 12:41 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the second degree, a misdemeanor. Police said they were called to a Jermain Avenue home on a report of someone attempting to get into the house. According to an arrest report, when police arrived Cole was lying on a couch. The homeowner said she did not know who he is and he did not have permission to be there, the arrest report states. Cole was released on an appearance ticket and is due to appear in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on June 11.
