Sag Harbor Police Log: Felony Mischief Charge for Homeless Man

Criminal Mischief, Harassment

• Nicholas J. Devine, 40, who police identified as homeless, was arrested June 12 at 4 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, a felony, and aggravated harassment in the second degree, a misdemeanor. Police said Devine was arrested for an incident of criminal mischief that occurred June 7 and on an outstanding warrant for harassment. Sag Harbor police said that Devine was picked up by the East Hampton Village Police at a gym for the warrant and was transported to Sag Harbor Village, where he was arraigned at Sag Harbor Village Justice Court.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Jillian A. Branam, 38, of Sag Harbor, was arrested June 14 at 11:57 p.m, and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. According to the arrest report, a passing motorist informed a police officer on patrol that he saw a Range Rover driving erratically northbound on Division Street. Police said the officer then followed the vehicle, which was swerving onto medians and the shoulder. The officer pulled the driver over at Route 114 and Fahys Road on North Haven and arrested Branam. Police said she failed sobriety tests, her speech was slurred and she had uncoordinated movements.
