Southampton man refused a breath test, police say.

• Thomas R. Pescod Jr., 46, of Southampton, was arrested March 11 at 1:22 p.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they pulled Pescod over on Long Island Avenue because he ran a stop sign while making a right turn in a 2012 Kia. Police said Pescod performed poorly on sobriety tests and failed a prescreen breath test. He refused to submit to a breath test at police headquarters, according to the arrest report.
