Sag Harbor Police Log: DWI on Division Street

The following information was supplied by the Sag Harbor Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate convictions.

arrest for the week of Feb. 28 through March 5:

Driving While Intoxicated

• Joshua R. Castantine, 32, of Sag Harbor, was arrested March 2 on Division Street around 10:15 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Police said Castantine was pulled over after failing to keep right and running a stop sign at the corner of Long Island Avenue and Main Street. He also swerved over the yellow line on Main Street several times and failed to signal when making a left hand turn from Main Street onto Washington Street, police said. After more traffic violations, he was pulled over at the corner of Division Street and Union Street and it was ascertained he was driving under the influence of oxycodone, which he said he took for a tooth ache, according to police.
