Sag Harbor Police Log: 3 NYC Men Charged With DWI
Three nights in a row after midnight, cops pull over alleged drunk drivers from New York.

• Luis Silvestre-Martinez, 27, of New York City, was arrested May 19 at 1:32 a.m. on Ferry Road in Sag Harbor, after being pulled over for failing to maintain his lane and signal while making a left turn, police said. According to the arrest report, Silvestre-Martinez's was visibly intoxicated after being pulled over and he performed poorly on standard field sobriety's tests. A DMV check of his license revealed it has been suspended five times, police said. Silvestre-Martinez was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of motor vehicle in the first degree, a felony, DWI, a misdemeanor, and multiple traffic infractions. The 1997 Honda he was driving was impounded.
• Walter Kober, 62, of New York City, was arrested May 20 at 1:37 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, an equipment violation and multiple traffic infractions. Police said Kober was pulled over while driving a 2012 Volkswagen westbound on Bay Street with broken tail lamps, and for running a stop sign. According to the arrest report, Kober's breath smelled of alcohol and he performed poorly on sobriety tests.

• Raymond L. Griffiths, 55, of New York City, was arrested May 21 at 1:45 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Griffiths was pulled over for making an illegal U-turn on Main Street in a 2004 BMW. His breath smelled of alcohol and he performed poorly on field sobriety tests, according to the arrest report.
