Sag Harbor Police Log: 3 DWIs Charged Around New Year's

The following information was supplied by the Sag Harbor Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation.

arrests for the week of Dec. 27 through Jan. 2:

DWI

• Lynelle C. Ross, 46, of Sagaponack, was arrested Dec. 31 at 3:29 a.m. on Division Street and charged with DWI. Police said she failed to signal while driving a Mazda east on Bay Street and making a hard turn on to Division Street, and she crossed over the double yellow line several times. Ross' eyes were water and bloodshot and her breath smelled of an alcoholic beverage, police said. She was held overnight for arraignment.

• Vincent Brandi, 35, of Sag Harbor, was arrested Jan. 1 at 1:08 a.m. on Henry Street and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as failure to stop at a stop sign and driving the wrong way on a one-way street, both traffic violations. Police said Brandi was driving a Volkswagen the wrong way when he was pulled over and it was discovered he was intoxicated. He was held for morning arraignment.

• Jon P. Trabona, 42, of Southampton, was arrested Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. on Oakland Avenue and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. According to the arrest report, Trabona was arrested after admitting in the police station lobby that he was aware his 16-year-old, who had been charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, was buying drugs.
